Plain-language terms governing your use of ThriveMatch. Please read carefully before using the platform.

1.Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using ThriveMatch (the 'Platform'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ThriveMatch, Inc. ('ThriveMatch', 'we', 'our', or 'us').
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that all information you provide to us is accurate and complete. If you are a clinician, you further warrant that you hold a valid, active professional licence in the jurisdiction(s) where you practise.
3.Nature of Services
ThriveMatch is a relationship-focused matchmaking and compatibility platform designed to assist individuals in developing greater self-awareness, evaluating relationship compatibility, and connecting with potential partners. The Services may include: Compatibility assessments Relationship education Therapist-developed content Relationship coaching resources Matchmaking services Communication tools Profile recommendations No Guarantee of Relationships ThriveMatch does not guarantee: Compatibility with any proposed match Formation of a romantic relationship Marriage or long-term partnership Relationship success Satisfaction with any match All relationship decisions remain solely the responsibility of Users.
4.Not Mental Health Treatment
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement with a licensed mental health professional, ThriveMatch is not: A healthcare provider A mental health provider A psychiatric service A crisis service A counseling service A psychotherapy service Information, assessments, recommendations, educational content, compatibility insights, coaching materials, and other resources provided through the platform are intended solely for educational and informational purposes. Use of ThriveMatch does not establish: A therapist-client relationship A physician-patient relationship Any fiduciary relationship If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, self-harm thoughts, domestic violence, or another emergency, immediately contact 911, your local emergency services, or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
5.Therapist-Guided Content
Certain content available through ThriveMatch may be developed, reviewed, or informed by licensed therapists. Such involvement does not create a therapeutic relationship between users and any therapist associated with ThriveMatch. Any therapist employed, contracted, or affiliated with ThriveMatch is acting solely in connection with educational and relationship-support services unless a separate written clinical services agreement exists
6.User Accounts
Users are responsible for: Maintaining account security Protecting login credentials Restricting unauthorized account access Immediately notifying us of any security breach Users are responsible for all activity occurring under their accounts.
7.User Representations
You agree that: All profile information is accurate. Photos accurately represent you. You are not impersonating another person. You are using the Services for legitimate relationship purposes. You will not harass, exploit, threaten, or harm other Users. You will not create multiple deceptive accounts.
8.Criminal Background Checks
ThriveMatch may, in its sole discretion, conduct criminal background checks on some or all users. Regardless of whether such checks are conducted: No screening method is completely accurate. Criminal records may not be updated or available. Users remain responsible for their own safety and judgment. If ThriveMatch does not conduct background checks in a particular jurisdiction or program, Users acknowledge that no representation is made regarding another User's criminal history. Users should exercise caution when interacting with others online and in person.
9.Safety Guidelines
Users agree to: Meet new people in public places. Inform a trusted person before in-person meetings. Avoid sharing financial information. Avoid sending money to other users. Report suspicious conduct immediately. ThriveMatch is not responsible for the conduct of Users online or offline.
10.Prohibited Conduct
Users shall not: Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate others. Use the Services unlawfully. Upload fraudulent content. Solicit money from other users. Distribute malware or malicious software. Engage in human trafficking, exploitation, or abuse. Violate intellectual property rights. Spread harmful misinformation. Circumvent security measures. Violation may result in suspension, termination, or legal action.
11.Payments and Subscriptions
Certain Services may require payment. By purchasing a subscription, you agree that: Fees are clearly disclosed prior to purchase. Payments may automatically renew unless canceled. You authorize recurring charges as permitted by law. Pricing may change upon advance notice. Refunds are governed by applicable law and ThriveMatch's Refund Policy.
12.Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in San Francisco, California. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
13.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email and a platform notice at least 30 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may close your account.
